A San Francisco middle school band teacher accused of molesting three female students between 2006 and 2009 pleaded not guilty to the charges today in San Francisco Superior Court.

Terry Braye, 60, an instructor at Visitacion Valley Middle School, was arrested Monday and arraigned in court this morning. He pleaded not guilty to three counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14.

Police said three girls, ages 11 to 13, were allegedly molested by Braye during school hours.

All three girls have since graduated, but one recently came forward to a counselor, prompting a police investigation.

Braye had allegedly tried to contact the girls over the Internet after they graduated, according to police.

A judge today signed a protective order against Braye having any contact with the alleged victims.

Braye remains in custody on $500,000 bail. He is due back in court Wednesday for a bail hearing.
