Various groups that have complaints about PG&E’s rates, its SmartMeters and Proposition 16 will gather in San Francisco today for two rallies.
The groups will highlight, among other things, the millions of dollars PG&E has spent on the proposition, a statewide ballot measure that would require a two-thirds vote before local governments could spend tax dollars on public power projects.
A rally will take place at noon at the California Public Utilities Commission building on Van Ness Avenue, where the commission will hold a hearing this afternoon on proposed PG&E rate adjustments.
At a second rally will be held at 5:30 p.m. on the steps of City Hall.
