A cable problem disrupted cable car service in San Francisco for more than three hours today, San Francisco Municipal Railway officials said.
Service was disrupted sometime before 4:45 p.m. on the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason lines due to the cable problem, according to Muni officials.
The problem was resolved and regular service was restored on the lines by 8:06 p.m., Muni officials said.
Bus shuttles were deployed to take passengers on Powell Street between Washington and Ellis streets during the disruption.
