Hilton hotel workers this morning began a three-day strike in downtown San Francisco, union officials announced.
Approximately 850 workers and members of Unite Here Local 2 began to strike at around 4 a.m. at the Hilton hotel located at 333 O’Farrell St. The strike is scheduled to last until Saturday morning.
Room cleaners, dishwashers, cooks, food servers and other Unite Here union members are striking over proposed changes to health coverage that have emerged in contract negotiations, according to the union.
