Four people were arrested after trying to escape from San Francisco police in a U-Haul vehicle and crashing into another vehicle in the city’s Bayview District this afternoon causing minor injuries to one person, a police officer said.
At about 1:30 p.m., police received a report of a burglary in the city’s Ingleside neighborhood involving suspects in a U-Haul vehicle, San Francisco police Officer Boaz Mariles said.
Officers spotted the vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle sped away but ended up crashing into another vehicle near the intersection of Thornton Avenue and Ledyard Street, according to Mariles.
A person in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, he said.
Police arrested four suspects who were inside the U-Haul, Mariles said.
