San Francisco firefighters extinguished a one-alarm fire less than 20 minutes after it was reported in a storage unit below an apartment building in the city’s Bayview District, a fire department spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported at 9:12 a.m. in a storage unit at 243 West Point Road, San Francisco fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge said.
Firefighters controlled the fire by 9:30 a.m., Talmadge said.
No one was injured in the blaze, which apparently burned a couch in the storage unit, she said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
