I’ve never thought I would say this, but how would you like to subscribe to the Sunday Chronicle? Print media is so desperate to replenish the dying breed of Sunday paper-and-coffee types that the SF Chronicle is offering a Sunday subscription of only 35 cents per issue. The paper is normally $3! Be aware of automatic renewal (which will up the price back to the original $3/week), so follow Funcheap’s advice on how to opt out of renewing the subscription if you don’t want to pay a pantload the next year.

When: All day today
Cost: 35 cents/issue ($18/year)
Website: https://www.subscriber-services.com/sfchron/ns/nssplash.asp?pid=43
Venue: San Francisco Bay Area

This event is curated from funcheap, a San Francisco-based website that uncovers and shares recommendations of 50+ cheap, fun, and unique Bay Area events each week.

Christine, I totally signed up for this (and put a big post it on my computer reminding myself to cancel the auto-renew), thank you!

Think about it: The Chronicle’s editor famously said that each delivered Sunday issue costs them $10. So I am spending $18, for them to spend $520. Right?
