caltrain.jpgCaltrain has halted service between San Francisco and Millbrae this afternoon due to a bomb threat, an agency spokeswoman said.

A person called Caltrain at about 2:45 p.m. claiming there was a bomb on one of the southbound trains leaving San Francisco, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

Trains at the San Francisco terminal have been inspected and cleared, and transit police are inspecting train No. 158 at the South San Francisco station, according to Dunn.

All 150 passengers and crew onboard that train have been evacuated and will be taken by bus to the Millbrae Intermodal Station.

Caltrain customers traveling southbound can take BART from San Francisco to Millbrae and then transfer to Caltrain.
