sfpd_squad.jpgSan Francisco police this evening are searching for a suspect who robbed a person at gunpoint near Franklin Square, police said.

The robbery happened at about 5:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of 16th Street, near Potrero Avenue. Police Officer Boaz Mariles said preliminary reports indicate the suspect brandished a black handgun and stole property from the victim.

The suspect is described as a white man, who is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and has a beard.
