A man who was fatally shot last week in San Francisco’s Bayview District was identified today by the medical examiner’s office as 28-year-old Deoaunta Lyons.
Lyons, of San Francisco, was shot at about 1:40 p.m. on March 18 near the intersection of Commer and Garlington courts, according to police. He was hospitalized and placed on life support, but died earlier this week, according to police.
Police said they believe the shooting to be gang related. It occurred a day after a 17-year-old boy was hit in the leg in a drive-by shooting just blocks away near Oakdale Avenue and Baldwin Court.
