Arctostaphylos berry.jpgWhat strange and interesting plants will you find at the free botanical sale March 26-28 at the County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park near 9th Ave?

The Friends of the SF Public Library and the SF Botanical Garden Society have teamed up to sell unique books and flora to the public, all available at reasonable prices and ready to be pored over in your study or poured over in your garden.

The money goes to a good cause: literacy programs and botanical gardens. And who knows, you could just walk out with your very own Romneya coulteri or Arctostaphylos berry, which will only increase in size as spring approaches! Just remember: whatever they offer you, don’t feed the plants.
