San Francisco police today are still investigating what led to the fatal stabbing of a man early Saturday inside another man’s apartment in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood.
The stabbing was reported at about 1:25 a.m.

Tuan Nguyen, 36, of San Francisco, was found dead of a stab wound to the chest inside an apartment in the 600 block of Ellis Street, police said.

The suspect, 42-year-old Phuck Van Lee, called 911 to report the stabbing and officers found him with blood on his hands and clothing, police said.

Lee directed officers to his apartment upstairs where they found the victim, police said.
Lee was questioned and later arrested.

Police are still investigating the relationship between the two men and interviewing witnesses, homicide Lt. Mike Stasko said today.

Stasko said the motive for the attack hasn’t yet been determined.

“But they were sitting in the apartment drinking,” he said.
