Does Healthy SF cover glasses?* That’s the question some are (indirectly) asking after tipster (not “hipster,” she hastens to add) Sara Shortt sent in this photo:

It’s no coincidence that this photo appeared in our inbox the same day that Mayor Gavin Newsom announced to the Chronicle that he “walks every single week in the Tenderloin; I’ve never seen someone with a t-shirt from the Homeless Coalition. Never once. And I say that with passion, and integrity, too.”

To be fair, though, Sara says this picture of a person wearing a shirt displaying the Coalition’s logo was taken by Elihu Hernandez on June 13, 2006. A lot’s happened since then.

*Answer: no, we checked. And not just for this story. Sigh.
