Calling Dave Chappelle a comedian is a little like calling Dave Eggers a writer — the term is accurate yet still not quite adequate, as it would put the former in the same category as, say, Dane Cook and the latter among, say, Danielle Steele. Both make jokes, both write words, but the similarities end there: accurate, yet inadequate.

Hilarious, thought-provoking and strong of moral fiber, Chappelle nonetheless can bring out less-than-stellar qualities in his fans and appreciators. To wit: Chappelle will perform this week in Oakland a bevy of shows, announced via Yelp! and word of mouth. And on Monday, would-be entrepreneurs were peddling tickets to some of the sold-out shows in unorthodox ways.

One Union City resaler managed to move a pair of $55 tickets for $150. A tidy profit, but perhaps he or she could have done better: another merchant (male, we assume), put up the following offer:

I have an extra ticket for Dave Chappelle tonight in Oakland for the 11pm show. Cash or ass (female only)… give me your offers.

We know it’s a tough economy, and we know tickets to these sort-of-secret shows are surely scarce. However, ladies — what is your ass worth? Milk this dude for at least the ticket, dinner, a couple drinks and maybe a room at the airport Hilton.
