A 25-year-old woman was struck by a car in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood this morning, a police spokesman said.

The woman was crossing the street in a crosswalk at Seventh and Howard streets and had the right-of-way when she was hit by a Toyota Land Cruiser at about 8:25 a.m., Officer Samson Chan said.

The driver of the Land Cruiser stopped at the scene and was not cited or arrested, Chan said.

The woman suffered leg injuries and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
