9:07 PM: A single-alarm fire damaged a two-story house near San Francisco’s Ingleside neighborhood tonight, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire was reported just after 8 p.m. at 569 Lakeview Ave., near Brighton Avenue, and was brought under control within about 20 minutes.

Preliminary reports indicate the fire started on the first floor of the home and extended to the attic before firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Smoke could be seen hovering over several blocks in the neighborhood and Lakeview Avenue was temporarily closed between Brighton and Plymouth avenues as firefighters worked to control the flames.

There was no report of injuries.
