A high wind warning has been issued by the California Highway Patrol for drivers on the Bay Bridge this morning.

The travel advisory was issued at around 4 a.m. when high winds began to cause hazardous driving conditions for anyone using Interstate Highway 80 to cross the Bay.

The CHP is advising that drivers reduce speed, use headlights and leave plenty of space between vehicles.

The wind warning will remain in effect as long as conditions persist on the Bay Bridge.
