Previously: Next Year: Free BART Tickets For Some Soldiers On Leave



BART today will launch its Military Pass Program that will provide free BART passes to a number of men and women in the military on leave from Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom.

The agency has allocated $50,000 worth of free BART tickets, giving a $50 ticket each to the service members on leave who receive them, according to BART spokesman Linton Johnson.

The launch of the program will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Lake Merritt Station on the concourse level at 800 Madison St.
