San Francisco police arrested two women and a juvenile boy after a robbery in the city’s South of Market District sparked a pursuit across the Bay Bridge into Oakland this morning, a police lieutenant said.

The robbery was reported at 1:01 a.m. at the intersection of Folsom and Russ streets, San Francisco police Lt. Lyn Tomioka said.

Police chased the robbery suspects across the Bay Bridge as they threw evidence out of their vehicle, Tomioka said.

The suspects eventually stopped in Oakland. Four people got out of the car and fled on foot and one stayed in the vehicle, Tomioka said.

Police apprehended two of the suspects who fled and placed them under arrest, along with the person who stayed in the car, Tomioka said. The other two suspects were not found.

Investigators are trying to learn more about the robbery but the victim is refusing to talk to police, Tomioka said.
