The Beths ventured all the way to the goddamn Cow Palace to bring you the Dickens Fair and I have to admit, it was fun.

Please note the gentleman who adjusted the Newsie cap on my head. He just came out of nowhere, dove right in and started touching my head.

Okay, I figured. I can go with this.

On and on he goes, putting wacky hats on my head. Ladies hats, Newsie hats, Santa hats…and the whole time he maintains his Ye Olde Hat Shoppe character. When we’d finally managed to excuse ourselves and thank him, Ye Olde Hat Shoppe character relaxes his shoulders, leans in and in full 21st Century dialect goes, “So, what’s this for? Some kinda student video?”

Ye Olde Hat Shoppe character, I love you.

We hope you like our Dickens Fair video and hope you check back next week, as Beth H. and I will be bringing you the Santa Crawl from Reno.

No foolin’. Reno.

Fun interview. Three Cripples is my favorite pub. Love the can can. And the Dark Garden Windows are always worth spending time in front of admiring the *ahem* merchandise; they have a shop in Hayes Valley open all year.
