9:59 PM: A store clerk was grazed by a bullet tonight in a robbery and shooting at a Potrero Hill market, San Francisco police Lt. Lyn Tomioka said.
Officers went to the intersection of 23rd and Rhode Island streets just after 9 p.m. on reports of shots fired.
Investigators learned two men had entered Kansas Food Market at 2250 23rd St. and demanded money from the clerk, she said. The clerk handed over some cash, but the suspects demanded more and a physical struggle began.
Tomioka said one of the suspects fired a single shot and the clerk suffered a graze wound to his left shoulder. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for the injury, which is not life-threatening.
The suspects, described as men between 18 and 20 years old who were both wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, were seen fleeing the scene on foot, Tomioka said.
9:39 PM: San Francisco police tonight are responding to reports of a shooting in the city’s Potrero Hill neighborhood, a police spokeswoman said.
Officers went to the intersection of 23rd and Rhode Island streets just after 9 p.m. on reports of shots fired, Lt. Lyn Tomioka said. Preliminary reports indicate a victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury after being grazed by a bullet, she said.
The suspect was seen fleeing the scene on foot, heading down Rhode Island Street, Tomioka said.
She did not release additional details.
