A Concord man has been arrested for allegedly claiming to be a police officer and sexually assaulting a prostitute in San Francisco on Christmas Day, San Francisco police said today.

Munkei Keton, 37, has been booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of sexual assault, assault, false imprisonment and impersonating a police officer.

The alleged assault happened at about noon last Friday in the area of Polk and Geary streets.

Keton allegedly told the victim he was a “cop” when he first contacted her, police said.

The victim provided police with a description of the assailant and his vehicle, a white 1993 Isuzu Rodeo. Investigators later determined that the vehicle was registered to a Concord resident.

San Francisco police officers contacted Concord police, who found Keton still driving the Isuzu and detained him until San Francisco officers arrived and arrested him.

The victim was treated at a hospital for her injuries and released.

Police are looking for anyone else who might have been victimized by Keton. He is described as a black man about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He weighs about 195 pounds and is balding. Potential victims are urged to contact the Police Department’s sexual assault detail at (415) 553-1361.
