The Chron and Examiner have presented their own interpretations of the SF Controller’s just-released “Monthly Economic Barometer” for October. My god, I can barely remember October. Was that the one with the costumes?

We’re totally lazy, so we thought we’d just paste the graph above. Fun fact: according to the report, the “Average 1BR Asking Rent: $1,900” stat (Which, really? Is it? That seems low to me. But I have been in my place since 2004, so I am George Bush buying milk with this one) was based on information from craigslist. Yes, that craigslist.

Offhand, I can’t think of a better way to determine this information, but it’s still kind of funny to think that you can get Important Economic Data AND a Casual Encounter in the same place.
