11/24 7:03 AM: San Francisco’s Broadway Tunnel was closed for more than two hours Monday night after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash, police said.
A man was traveling west inside the tunnel when the crash happened at about 7:55 p.m., police said, and the tunnel remained closed in both directions until around 10 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was speeding prior to the crash, police said. No other vehicles appear to have been involved.
11/23 8:48 PM: A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in San Francisco’s Broadway Tunnel tonight, a police spokesman said.
The crash happened at about 7:55 p.m. and the tunnel remained closed in both directions as of 8:30 p.m., police Officer Boaz Mariles said.
Preliminary reports indicate the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was speeding prior to the crash, Mariles said. No other vehicles appear to have been involved.
