A 21-year-old man with a mental disability who was reported missing in Belmont last week was located in San Francisco on Sunday and has been reunited with his parents, according to Belmont police.

Shant Furuli-Vogt was with his family visiting Belmont from the town of Calabasas in Southern California.

At about 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 25, Furuli-Vogt’s parents dropped him off at an AM/PM Mini Market at 470 Ralston Ave. to buy a few items. His parents told police that Shant, sometimes called “Shanti”, was supposed to walk back to their room at a nearby Motel 6.

He never returned from the market.

On Friday, Belmont police investigators received word that Furuli-Vogt was seen Thursday on Grand Avenue in South San Francisco.

Furuli-Vogt, who has a mental age of about 15 years old, was found today in San Francisco. He was reunited with his parents, and the family is returning home to Calabasas, according to police.
