Tonight’s lonely premiere is “‘Till Death” at 8:30 P.M. on Fox. I don’t even know why Fox is bothering with sitcoms at all these days.

The only non-animated comedies they currently have on the air are “Brothers” (which premiered last week, and which is awful) and “‘Till Death” which enters its fourth season tonight, and, oh yeah, is also awful.

But for some reason, they are willing to keep renewing this show, even though it’s lost viewers every season, and has no critical acclaim to justify its renewal, unlike say, “Arrested Development” which had the acclaim but low ratings. At least the people who watched that show were passionate about it. I doubt anyone’s very passionate about “‘Till Death.”

Fox should just accept that they have no idea how to handle sitcoms, and stop even trying.

Rain Jokinen watches a lot of television and movies and then writes things about them on the Internet. She's a San Francisco native, and yeah, she'll rub that fact in your face any chance she gets.
