1:06 PM: Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crews have restored power to the more than 1,200 customers affected by an outage this morning in San Francisco, an agency spokesman said.

A pole that caught fire at 16th and Missouri streets just after 4 a.m. is believed to be the cause of the outage, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

As of 7:30 a.m., 55 customers in the Potrero Hill and South of Market neighborhoods remained without power. They had their power restored shortly before 10 a.m., he said.
No one was injured in the fire.

7:48 AM: Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crews have restored power to all but 55 customers this morning after an outage initially affected more than 1,200 customers in San Francisco, an agency spokesman said.

A pole that caught fire at 16th and Missouri streets just after 4 a.m. is believed to be the cause of the outage, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

The remaining 55 customers without power, who are located in the Potrero Hill and South of Market neighborhoods near the pole fire, are expected to have their power restored by 11 a.m., he said.

No one was injured in the fire.

5:41 AM: Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crews are responding to a power outage affecting 1,228 customers in San Francisco’s Mission District and Potrero Hill neighborhood this morning, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

PG&E crews are still investigating the cause of the outage, which began just after 4 a.m., Guidi said.
