eat real.jpgPromised to be the inaugural of an annual event, Eat Real Festival will have you thinking twice about your ticket to Outside Lands. The fest couples good, cheap eats with live music. Tack on some cooking demos and you’ve got yourself a weekend adventure into the East Bay.

The complete schedule is up. Most importantly, as you can see perusing the schedule, the Beer Shed will run all three days. That’s about 40 microbrews to taste. For those with a sweet tooth, Friday night (a.k.a. Ice Cream Night) will prove delectable with Ici and Bi-Rite on hand. The rest of the weekend will host the aptly named Street Eats and Good to Go Market, a collection of fresh produce and hand-made foods direct from their makers and growers. And according to Eat Real’s Twitter, about 80 percent of the food carts will have vegetarian options. Twenty percent promise vegan fare.
