The San Mateo County coroner’s office today released the name of a 17-year-old girl who was killed in a crash Tuesday night that left another teenager dead and a third injured.

Alexandra Aurora Valdivia and 19-year-old Gerard Gilbert, both South San Francisco residents, died in the 7:15 p.m. crash on northbound Highway 101 near Oyster Point Boulevard in South San Francisco, San Mateo County coroner Robert Foucrault said.

Their car was reportedly weaving in and out of traffic and driving on the shoulder before it careened off the roadway, flipped and landed in the drainage ditch, CHP Officer Shawn Chase said.

Valdivia and Gilbert were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 18-year-old Michelle Shaghzoian of San Mateo, was critically injured and taken to San Francisco General Hospital, according to Chase.
