Perhaps it was the threat of plain clothes officers lying in wait. Perhaps it was just a desire to prove SFist editor Brock Keeling’s predictive tweet (which we are reproducing here without asking his permission because we are apparently competitive old media thinkers! IN YER FACE KEELING!) wrong. Maybe there just weren’t any Examiners lying around to burn, and the Carsonist(s) were too taken with the “Bolder. Brighter. Better.” Chronicle to consign it to ashes.

Whatever the case, no car torching went down last night. Sorry.
