8:43 PM: One man was arrested today after San Francisco police discovered a large marijuana growing operation in a Sunset District home, police Sgt.
Wilfred Williams said.

He said officers went to the home in the 2200 block of 20th Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. and confiscated 346 mature marijuana plants as well as growing equipment. One man was arrested in connection with the operation and faces cultivation and sales charges, Williams said.

In the past five months, officers have discovered 20 marijuana growing operations in and around the Sunset and Ingleside neighborhoods, according to police.

5:22 PM: San Francisco police this afternoon were working to remove hundreds of a marijuana plants from a growing operation in a Sunset District home.

Police said officers were at the home in the 2200 block of 20th Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. confiscating plants and growing equipment.

In the past five months, officers have discovered 20 marijuana growing operations in homes in and around the Sunset and Ingleside neighborhoods, according to police.
