Concert at AT&T Park

On Saturday, July 18, The Kenny Chesney Concert and the WOLF Beach Ball Free-for-All will be held in and around AT&T Park, beginning with the Free-for-All at 10 a.m. and the concert to follow at 5:30 p.m. The ballpark gates will open at 3:30 p.m. for concert-goers.

Terry Francois Boulevard from 3rd Street to Mission Rock will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Event participants are encouraged to take public transportation. Muni Metro N Judah and T Third lines go directly to the ballpark.

AIDS Walk

The annual AIDS Walk will take place on Sunday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Golden Gate Park.

The route will be entirely within the park and take participants from Sharon Meadow, west on Kennedy Drive, south on Transverse Drive, west on Martin Luther King Drive east on Kennedy Drive to Sharon Meadow.

The north-south park entrances will be closed, except Park Presidio Boulevard and Crossover Drive. Closures for the AIDS Walk are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The 44 O’Shaughnessy Muni route will be affected.

Sunday Streets

The fourth of six 2009 Sunday Streets events will be held this Sunday, July 19 in the Mission District. This event covers a route between Rolph Playground and Dolores Park, along the busy merchant corridors of Valencia and 24th streets. The route (see attached map) will be available for recreational activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Street closures and access are detailed on this map.

The headquarters for the event will be located at Garfield Square Park at 26th and Harrison streets, where participants can get details about activities along the event route as well as free bike rentals. Other key locations are Precita Eyes Visitor Center, Capp and 24th streets parking lot, 24th Street BART Station and Mission Playground. More details here.
