Plum St, a tiny alley which connects Mission to South Van Ness, has become a popular homeless hangout and subsequent wastebasket. An anonymous report cites a broken streetlamp as the cause of Plum’s increased squalidness:

“There is only 1 street night light and it has not worked for a long time. Because of the darkness, homeless stay here and leave behind human waste, discarded personal belongings, graffiti, etc. This street is always filthy and street cleaners never go by.”
