300_live_gameurban1.jpg$50 Million In Bay Bridge Bypass Funds Approved, says the CBS5 article, but after pulling together that BART post and thinking about all that money, we’d rather focus on this:

“If winds on Thursday or Friday (of Labor Day Weekend) are excessive, they would delay the project until the following weekend, in which case the bridge would close from 8 pm on the following Wednesday, and reopen by 5 am on Monday the 14th”

quoth an MTC rep.

AND THEN CBS5 says “That delay would almost certainly mean commute chaos.” Commute chaos! Is it wrong that the first thing we thought was Wow, what if BART employees went on strike then? Because that would be some serious commute chaos.
