Bay City News is reporting that:

A stolen vehicle was recovered in San Francisco this afternoon after a pursuit that started when the vehicle that was equipped with an electronic tracking device was located in Marin County near Tiburon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle had been reported stolen in San Francisco, and was located at about 3 p.m. because of LoJack, an electronic device attached to the vehicle, a CHP dispatcher said.

The CHP pursued the vehicle across the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco where it was recovered somewhere in the city, according to the dispatcher, who did not know if the suspect was also apprehended.

Thanks to Streetsblog SF editor and Friend of the Appeal Bryan Goebel, we know where that “somewhere in the city” is: Polk and Pine (or so). Bryan caught a portion of this chase and its aftermath on digifilm, you can see the pictures he took here.

“All mainstream media types are here…including KCBS” he noted. “I’m told it was all over a stolen vehicle.” Well, it was a pretty slow news day, we can see that being pretty much the only game going.
