It’s always fun to hear about “suspicious package”s, from the dirty jokes the adolescent part of my brain makes (“I knew that package was suspicious when I got home and” wave pinky) to imagining just what makes it suspicious (card on top signed “The Joker”?). Of course, we can make these coarse jokes because the suspicious package that caused a closure on Geary early this morning turned out to be about as dangerous as that syrup-filled school bomb in Die Hard 3.

It was first reported outside the Abbey Tavern at 3:45, and cops shut down Geary between 4th and 6th (oh, shit, should we be talking about the numbers first? As If Theresa Crivello’s reading this) until 6 this morning, when it was determined that their suspicions, while healthy, were not to be fulfilled.
