You already read the Appeal’s own Violet Blue’s coverage of the Long Now Foundation‘s SALT talk with everybody’s twitter buddy, Mayor Gavin Newsom. After the show, Violet and videographer Eddie Codel grabbed the Mayor for a quick conversation for Geek Entertainment TV.* When we asked her how we should write to set up this segment on the Appeal, she said:

um, how we’re going to have the biggest wave generator in the world for natural energy generation, how he loves twitter and responds about the BYOBW issue in a tweet on the show maybe?

Consider us set up.

*This is what I mean when I talk about how collaboration is the way media will survive. I know, if I’m writing for Appeal readers, I’m preaching to the choir, but I just think it’s so cool that a reporter can go to an event and do such different and interesting stories for two different outlets. Old Media, take note. Or not. It’s your funeral.
