Jurassic Park – The Clay
I used to know this kid who would curl his hands up by his chest, roll his head back in a circle and claw at the air while letting out high pitched nasal wails. It was like if Rob Schneider busted into the ANTM dressing room and it was the best Velociraptor impression. Midnight, April 17-18. Info.
The Big Lebowski – The Red Vic

Alphaville – SF Moma
What is it with San Francisco and Jean-Luc Godard? Oh, right, everything. Densely frivolous, mired in 60s radicalism, obsessed with love and expression. French high art in an Orwell world. Weird times: April 16, 7:00PM, April 25 1:00PM. Info.
Crank: High Voltage – Corporate Cinemas
True story: When I got married my brother-in-law gave us tickets to the movie theater at Northgate Mall. Two days after the ceremony we took the trip to Marin to cash them in with a matinee showing of Crank. We were walking around the mall when Phil Bronstein called my cell to offer me a job at the Chronicle. “I’m on my honeymoon” I babbled “at the dirt mall. We’re just killing time waiting for Crank.” Though my Chronicle time was brutal and brief, I still think about that moment, the phone call that completely changed the course of my life. That day, I was so excited I could barely pay attention to the movie. I won’t make the same mistake with Crank 2 which is so rad it did not even screen for critics. Opens Friday.Info — Eve
