UPDATE: After a few hours of hard work, the Powell-Hyde line is back on track. Fannypackers shout “hooray!”

We’re told that the Powell-Hyde cable car line his experiencing cable problems at the Hyde segment of the line, and has suspended service.

Shuttle buses are running on Hyde in its stead. Muni is hopeful that regular cable car service will resume by the late morning or early afternoon.
