A collision between a a DPT Cushman vehicle (shown above) and a semi truck (shown below) has nearly halted traffic on Market this morning between 6th and 8th streets in both directions.

Witnesses report that Muni is asking passengers to disembark from buses, and car travel through the area is slowed to a trickle.

An ambulance is on the scene, and the DPT employee is reported to be suffering from serious injuries.

This is the second injury accident to a DPT worker this month, following an accident that closed the Broadway tunnel in early April.

Wow, way to hop on pop! Didn’t this just happen like an hour ago? Information dissemination outstripping paper news, in action.

I was on the 71 bus a block behind this action and you could hear the announcement to the driver asking them to re-route to Mission St. I imagined that Mission was going to mess of Muni buses and confused passengers so I just got off the bus and walked the rest of the way.
