(scroll down for 9:50 AM update) A bicyclist has been struck and injured by a car at the notoriously bike-unsafe intersection at Market and Octavia. The accident was reported at 8:27 this morning, with few details available as yet. We do know that the cyclist was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, and that the driver of the car appears unharmed.

UPDATE: Via Twitter, Joshua Nguyen describes the scene, saying “Purple Toyota Corolla rammed into a bicyclist.”
