UPDATE: SFFD spokeswoman Lt. Mindy Talmadge announced that the eastbound side of the Broadway Tunnel remains closed this morning, after a city Parking and Traffic Department employee crashed and overturned their Cushman vehicle (those little things Parking and Traffic Department employees use to park alongside your illegally parked car to write you a ticket). The driver, a woman, was taken to SF General with serious injuries. No word yet on when that half of the tunnel will be reopened.
