PR professionals: want to know the easiest way to get us to forgo our natural skepticism of your communications and get us to write the same kind of press release regurgitation we mock in other publications*? Free stuff.

So, apparently, there’s a locally-owned frozen yogurt place called yoCup (Eater SF fans know all about this place already) which launched a year ago today.

To mark what is, even we must admit, quite an accomplishment in these tough economic days in an even tougher, FroYo glutted market, “every customer who brings along a friend, family (member) or colleague…will receive the second cup of yogurt for free.” This also sounds like a great way to pick up any appealing single customers in line, we’re just saying.

This free companion fare is going on from 10-6 today (Friday) at both their locations: 101 Spear (Rincon Center) and 685 Market.

*we had some links, then felt bad and took them out because we hear they’re giving the tap to, like, hundreds of employees today.
